Mombasa

Mount Kenya National Park
Located in the centre of Kenya, on the border of the Aberdare National Park, Mount Kenya has an elevation of 5,199 meters above sea level and is one of the most prominent peaks in Africa. The highest peak is called Uhuru which means “freedom” in Swahili. The mountain is surrounded by several glaciers and snow capped peaks.

Lake Naivasha
Lake Naivasha is one of the most beautiful lakes in Kenya and is a popular spot for tourists. The lake is famous for the flamingos that arrive every year to breed. The surroundings of the lake are equally as breath-taking, especially on a clear day. Lake Naivasha is also home to some of the community owned lodges and camps that offer incredible views of Mt. Longonot and other attractions in the area.

Kisumu
The eighth tourist destination is Kisumu. The city is not only a major urban center but it also has attractions such as the hot springs. You can visit this place to take part in safaris and also enjoy other activities.



The German Post Office Museum
The ninth tourist destination is the German Post Office Museum.The museum is located in Lamu and it has different kinds of memorabilia from the colonial era. The museum also contains an archive of the history of the former German Protectorate, as well as a town hall. You can visit this place to take part in other activities and also enjoy some local African cuisine.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy
The Ol Pajeta Conservancy was founded in 2004 and is Africa’s first carbon-neutral wildlife conservancy. The park has a goal of protecting 1% of all land mass by 2020 and to do so they have stepped up their anti-poaching efforts as well as installed solar panels to power the property. The Ol Pajeta Conservancy is located at the base of Mount Kenya and is home to one of the largest populations of endangered white rhinos.
